Post Star - Glenn Falls, NY Army shows appreciation with meal Published: Monday, May 28, 2007 QUEENSBURY -- On April 18, local members of the U.S. Army catered a feast for 60 members of the Free and Accepted Masons of Queensbury Lodge No. 121. Aldo Ghirarduzzi, master of the Queensbury lodge, was presented with a plaque in recognition of the years the Masons have been involved in community service. The plaque was presented by Maj. Matthew Kennedy, commander of the Northeastern Region Army recruiters, along with Sgt. 1st Class William Harvey, Sgt. 1st Class Allan Ford, Sgt. 1st Class Robert Clukey and Sgt. 1st Class Peter Adams, all from the Queensbury recruiting station. The Masons have instituted programs that supply prepaid phone cards and packages of personal items to servicemen and servicewomen in Iraq. The Queensbury Lodge is involved with many community organizations, including Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Little League, the Prospect School and the Red Cross. Many members of the Masons are also currently serving in the armed forces.
