The most senior examining magistrate of Nice city in southeastern France , who was in police custody see item transcribed from France Inter radio at 1100 gmt, has been released.
The public prosecutor's department has not ruled on possible proceedings yet.
The magistrate was
questioned for more than 24 hours as part of a preliminary
investigation into a fraudulent use of criminal records to
benefit the French freemasons' Grand Lodge.
