Ridgeway Record - Elk County, Pennsylvannia Deadline looms for Masonic Temple Friday, January 13, 2006 A Jan. 29 deadline looms for the Masonic Temple on Mill Street. Due to recent court actions, the temple's owner must pay fines and demonstrate to state inspectors the building is compliant with regulations or evict the inhabitants of the building. Masonic Temple owner Dennis Bologna withdrew an appeal of a guilty verdict on violating regulations handed down by District Judge George “Tony” King on January 26, 2004. King sentenced Bologna, according to court reports, to a $1,500 fine and prosecuting costs of $172.25. The motion to withdraw an appeal of the ruling, which was granted by President Judge Ricard Masson, set the deadline for fulfilling the verdict by Jan. 29. King sentenced Bologna to the fine and to correcting 29 violations identified by the state Department of Labor and Industry. The sentence grants a 30-day period for the state Department of Labor and Industry to inspect the property for fulfilment. Bologna faced 15 summary charges of violating acts and regulations befor King on Jan. 26, 2004. |
