Syrian Army Kills Hundreds of Terrorists in Idlib, Homs

Summary: TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army conducted several military operations and killed hundreds of armed rebels in different parts of Idlib and Homs provinces on Monday.
The army's special unit destroyed several terrorist hideouts and killed more than 40 terrorists in the Western part of Idlib today. The army also arrested 25 armed rebels in the same region.
The Syrian troops killed a terrorist ringleader in Neyrab farms. Clashes still continue on Idlib-Bansh road where more than 23 armed rebels have been killed so far.
In another operation in Idlib, the army destroyed 4 terrorist bases. The operation resulted in the death of over 50 armed rebels.
In Homs province, the army continued its military operations in al-Khalediya, Joreh al-Shayah and Vadi al-Sayah. The Syrian army killed more than 200 armed rebels in these areas.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against the Syrian police, border guards, statesmen, army and the civilians being reported across the country.
Thousands of people have been killed since terrorist and armed groups turned protest rallies into armed clashes.
The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
The US daily, Washington Post, reported in May, 2012 that the Syrian rebels and terrorist groups battling Assad's government have received significantly more and better weapons in recent weeks, a crime paid for by the Persian Gulf Arab states and coordinated by the United States.
