National Post - Toronto, Ontario Shriner Clown To Be Jailed For Sexual Abuse Of Daughter, Sister-in-Law Three Year Sentence Saturday March 25, 2005 Page A5 CanWest News Service A Shriner clown was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday for sexually abusing his daughter and sister-in-law. After being free on bail for most of his trial and denying most of the charges against him Jacque Beaule, 62, showed no emotion when Quebec Court Judge Michelle Toupin announced the sentence. His two victims, now aged 42 and 46, said outside the courtroom that no sentence could ever give them back their childhoods. "I'd told the Crown I wanted him to have his freedom taken away for at least one night, so he could feel what we feel," said Alison Allan, Mr. Beaules's sister-in-law. Beaule abused Ms. Allen from the time she was 7 to 23. |
