AP Photo/House TVThis image from House Television shows the final passage vote total of 285-144 in the House of Representatives on the bill to avoid a national default and end the 16-day partial government shutdown in Washington, Wednesday night, Oct. 16, 2013. Minutes before the voting ended, a stenographer was escorted out of the House following a rant about Freemasons and God..

A stenographer had to be hauled out of the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday after she suddenly went up to the microphone and started yelling during a vote on legislation to end the budget crisis and re-open the government.

The woman, identified as Dianne Reidy, surprised House members when she started ranting about Freemasons who “go against God.”

“He will not be mocked. He will not be mocked. Don’t touch me. He will not be mocked,” she said as staff members approached her.

“The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been it would not have been. No. It would not have been!

“The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons. They go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God Lord Jesus Christ,” she said.

The woman was eventually forcibly removed by security guards and Politico reported that she was escorted to a nearby elevator.

Rep. Gerry Connolly told The Washington Post that the stenographer is a well-known and liked figure in the House.

“I think there’s a lot of sympathy, because something clearly happened there,” Connolly said

Here’s audio of the woman that was posted by the Takeaway’s Todd Zwillich:
