Deepak Chopra Reveals Stephen Colbert's 'Shadow' Side, Discusses New Book 'The Shadow Effect' (VIDEO)
Deepak Chopra came onto "The Colbert Report" last night to talk about his new book, "The Shadow Effect," and, inevitably, he took the opportunity to explain to Colbert what the host's "shadow" characteristics are. The "shadow effect," said Chopra, is the negative part of a person -- the part of a person that is shamed or embarrassed. He went on to tell Stephen that his shadow is "pompous," "arrogant," "self-righteous," and "Mr. Know-it-all," but went on to say that Stephen has a gift too, which is to offer comic relief to the country. "Comic relief?" responded Colbert, "I'm doing my best to terrify these motherfu**ers!"
Chopra also touched on his own "shadow" side, which he was very open about. He discussed his addiction to cigarettes and alcohol, even while he was a practicing doctor. (Stephen did call Chopra's dark side "lame," however.)
